Someday, when I am super rich and/or live in a place that doesn’t require spending an exorbitant percentage of my paycheck on my rent, I will cover my walls in expensive wallpaper. I’ve written about my love for Rifle Paper Co. before–and now they’ve partnered with Hygge & West to create a line of wallpaper. I die.
On Sunday, after running 4 miles through the Harlem Hills in the rain (it was practically uphill both ways), Hallie and I ventured downtown to SoHo to see the Rifle Paper Company popup shop showcasing the new Garance Dore collection. I have been a fan of Rifle Paper for many years and I love that the company is so successful and the cards etc so easily accessible now. The popup shop was full of people who managed to look impeccable despite the deluge outside–so Hallie and I clearly blended well in our bright raincoats and sneakers.
On Sunday, I went to church and then stopped at the Strand to pick up the gem below. I had a copy of this book many years ago (it may have been a gift for my father which was appropriated). It is quelle tattered now and the pages are falling out from so much use. I can’t wait to reaquaint myself with my favorite characters.
Don’t you just wish your life looked a Rifle Paper Company print? Actually, I really just want one wall with Rifle Paper Company wallpaper. Oh if that was a thing. And I had lots of disposable income!
