Oh you guys. It is finally Friday. I’m so happy to have made it (almost) through this week. I’m going to do some deep cleaning this weekend–and, of course, cheer on the Tigers at the Monon game watch on Saturday. And check out this photo of my personal nightmare below!
When Ebola arrives in the neighborhood, you go to the close, but expensive, grocery store and buy all of the name-brand, full-price snacks–including the big bag of Flaming Hot Cheetos. I may just hole up and not leave–except to get more snacks–this weekend. It’s like I have Lady Macbeth-syndrome–I can’t stop washing my hands–just without the murder on the conscience.
Well, it is Friday. And, as usual, I am ready for the weekend. I don’t really have any plans (although I may be having people over to watch the Cardinals game on Saturday). I’m down with this. The weather is lovely–I think I’ll check out the new High Line extension. I am ready to relax.
Don’t you just love this painting?
You guys, the last few weeks have dragged like molasses. But this week just flew by–what a treat! This isn’t to say this week was pleasant or without dramz, but at least it moved quickly. And now it’s the weekend and I’ve got fun plans (a trip to DryBar!) and a Fresh Direct delivery (gotta replenish those beverages) and a 5K on Monday. I hope you all enjoy your extended weekends–Fall is around that corner!
This week was a rough one. I’m so glad the end is in sight–just one more show! And I’ve got brunch plans and a date with these hot guys to look forward to this weekend. So much happiness.
I promise at least one brunch cocktails insta over the weekend.
What’s that Johnny Paycheck song (okay, after googling it, I realize I was thinking of this George Jones song)? I feel like singing it loudly today because oh man, I am ready for the weekend. After breaking news and two shoots, I just hope we can end the week on a calm note.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend. I’m going to run a 5K on Roosevelt Island tomorrow–let’s all hope I don’t die.
Anyway, my mother sent the sweetest card–I just love it. Because of course, it is the card Lisa Simpson gave Ralph when no else gave him a Valentine. Ralph, of course, immediately falls for Lisa thinking the card means something it does not. Lisa is punished for being nice–a lesson I learn repeatedly.
I’m off to get my nails done and eat a donut! Happy Valentine’s Day!
