I returned yesterday from a lovely weekend in Washington, DC’s ghetto suburb College Park where I visited my dear sister, Susie. We visited my old haunts and her new haunts–including a stimulating evening listening to University of Maryland MFA students reading their works. We indulged in wine and grilled cheese. She cooked Mac & Cheese for me. We watched the Mary-Kate & Ashley classic “Our Lips Are Sealed.”
My visit was truly wonderful. Thank you, Susie, for taking me in and giving me Diet Cokes.
