I feel betrayed by the social medias that it wasn’t until I was at home last night that I learned it was National Margarita Day (which I guess isn’t Cinco de Mayo). Sigh. I didn’t have a marg last night. I did, however, begin reorganizing my life after the whirlwind that was my trip to Denver. I realized that I never took a pic with the bride (aside from this gem) and basically all of my pictures ended up on insta. It was a lovely, joyful weekend and I felt very #blessed to be a part of it.

MONDAY AGAIN.
This made me laugh.
Anyway, I had a nice quiet weekend. Ran many errands. Used many birthday coupons. And now it is Monday and I’m wondering how much of Dancing with the Stars is going to be pre-empted by the debate! Because my priorities are in order.
ANOTHER MEME.
Well, Friday is finally here. I had to go in early to work for some training–hence the below.
Anyway, I have a fun weekend planned and I’m ready to enjoy not being at work for two short days. I hope you enjoy your time off–and I promise to do better posts next week.
JANUARY.
Well hello there. I’m back after a lovely week and a half escape from life in St. Louis with my family. You can, as always, see an insight into our shenanigans here. Mostly, we ate at our favorite restaurants and drank wine. We did some shopping. And when it wasn’t an arctic tundra, we walked around the neighborhood. I napped a lot.
And now, I’m back in New York. In this new year, I’m going to simplify–read more, think more, and try not to worry so much. We’ll see how it goes!
FRIDAY HUZZAH.
You guys. I’m so happy it is Friday. I’ve been exhausted since Tuesday’s endless Election Night Extravaganza (of yelling at each other at work and people eating White Castle at 3:30a). Anywho, I’m off to spend the weekend in College Park, MD with my sister–who is kind enough to take me in and bolster my spirits. We’ll run errands and do suburban things in her little Kia Soul. I’ll see you on Monday.
IT IS FINALLY FRIDAY!
What’s that Johnny Paycheck song (okay, after googling it, I realize I was thinking of this George Jones song)? I feel like singing it loudly today because oh man, I am ready for the weekend. After breaking news and two shoots, I just hope we can end the week on a calm note.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend. I’m going to run a 5K on Roosevelt Island tomorrow–let’s all hope I don’t die.
