I’m off to St. Louis early tomorrow morning to celebrate my dear sister’s bridal shower. And to gab and drink some wine and hopefully do some toodling around in my mother’s Mini Cooper.
Plus, I’ll get to see and hold my sweet, sweet niece and nephew. Ideally, I won’t make them cry just by looking at them–which is an effect I’ve been known to have on babies. It is a quick trip–but much needed.
I know it will only get hotter–but we’ve reached that point where it is sticky and humid when you leave work at 130a. That is just the worst. I don’t like getting sweaty on my way to work or on my way home from work. But then again, I know my life is just so hard and I’ve accepted that. I’m running a 10K in Central Park tomorrow–having not run basically since my 1/2 Marathon, this will be interesting and likely not fun. This race is interesting because it is all women and we’ll run up Central Park West and enter the park at 90th. This will be a new and interesting perspective for me.
And some fun things from around the internet:
–I need to set my DVR for this special.
–JCrew needs to go back to its original, classic clothing. Clearly, I’m not the only one who thinks this.
—This just says everything about our culture. Sigh.
–I want to see this.
–And your Simpsons read for the week.
