On Saturday, like the old lady that I am, I invited some friends over to decorate my little tree and have champagne punch. An old-fashioned tree-trimming party.
Susie and I hauled a tree home from one of the many sidewalk tree lots–perpetual festivity on the sidewalks of New York. And tidied up my apartment. We ventured all the way to the Union Square Trader Joe’s Wine Store–this discovery has surely changed my life. And carried a lot of champagne and wine home. And we created a lovely little spread for my guests.
And, of course, my years of collecting Christmas ornaments ensured that my tree would be lovely. And it is.
Even with that vacuum tucked in the corner.
