In high school, I had this crazy Spanish teacher–Mr. D. Sometimes, Mr D. would declare the day a Cultural Learning Day which basically meant we spent the entire class watching music videos recorded off of Spanish MTV. It is no wonder that I placed into Spanish I when I got to college.
Anyway, today, I ventured to midtown to see the Matisse Cutouts exhibit at the MOMA. Naturally, the exhibit was packed (it closes next week). I am a fan of Matisse and the cutouts–and this exhibit did not disappoint. They had so many pieces–the recently restored Swimming Pool was very impressive. My only complaint was the you couldn’t take photos (I took the one below and got majorly sassed by the security guard) and the postcards in the gift shop were seriously lacking. Are postcards not a thing anymore?
