Well, well. I had just the most delightful (and busy) extended weekend. On Saturday, my friend Jenny and I hosted a little bridal shower for our friend Kate. We had mimosas and bloody Mary’s. There was a yummo breakfast casserole and some ridiculous cheddar biscuits. The presents all came in oversized Crate & Barrel boxes. We gabbed for hours. Just lovely.
On Sunday, I met some old DePauw friends in town visiting for brunch. Again, we gabbed and laughed and gorged on more breakfast yumminess.
I then caught the Amtrak to College Park, MD to hang with my dear sister. Susie and I definitely played hooky from life and went to the mall and got new phone cases and had margaritas with lunch.
What could be better? Then, I high-tailed it into Washington to celebrate the retirement of my first boss at ABC.
I caught up with lots of old friends. And the David Kerley fan club was reunited!
I took the train back to NYC on Tuesday and then spent most of they day in recovery. I asked a lot of people to lower their voices at work.
