A LITTLE ADVENTURE.

This weekend, I traversed under the East River to Greenpoint, Brooklyn for the Design Sponge moving sale. To get to Greenpoint required either transferring TWICE (umm, no) or walking 25 minutes (yes). With the sun shining and a cool breeze to accompany me, the walk proved quick and pleasant.

Greenpoint was a delight. It was so quiet and the streets so tree-lined and shady. The moving sale was in one of those industrial buildings where bloggers and start ups rent space–and it was so Brooklyn.

I love that green door. And the view from the (dirty) windows was pretty spectacular–can you spot Manhattan? I saw a lot of vintage-style bicycles. And a lot of very attractive, well-styled people.

After the sale, I took myself out for a late breakfast at a quiet (the word of the day) restaurant. I did some stellar people watching. It was a lovely little adventure.
