This morning, my bus did one of those things where it was running ahead of schedule, so it pulled over to the side of the road and just sat for five minutes. I particularly enjoyed when another M7 passed us. It really did wonders for my Monday morning mood. Anyway, I pulled out an old copy of New York that has been riding along in my purse for weeks and finished an Andrew Sullivan article titled ‘Put Down Your Phone’. It had some interesting thoughts in it about how smart phones are ruining our humanity–but mostly I appreciated the validation of my quiet weekends.
Anyway, all of this is to say that I had a nice little weekend. I saw some friends and tidied and cross-stitched an ornament. And now it is Monday and, apparently, Mean Girls Day. I said “Is butter a carb?” and like four people responded NO as if I was seriously asking.
Made me laugh. You go, Glen Coco.
