THIS MIGHT BE A TUESDAY RANT.

I had to do a little birthday shopping for a certain brother of mine today. And so, after waiting for the Fresh Direct Man to deliver my beverages, I donned my leggings and sneaks and my big, puffy coat and I hit the mean sidewalks of NYC. And you guys, the giant puddles that formed during yesterdays torrential downpour (that coincided with my walk to work) were frozen over into little pockets of ice at the street corners. I hate to break it to all of the people who post about this on Facebook, but this is normal. It is called Winter. And it happens every year around this time.

I don’t know why, but I find all of the weather coverage very tiresome. It makes me cranky. I like winter. I like the crisp, cold air. Somehow, it makes New York seem cleaner when everything is frozen. I like shopping for gifts and waiting for Christmas so that I can give my presents. Okay, I’m on the verge of going all rant-y on this post. I’ll stop. But, people, can we all just slow down and enjoy each day instead of constantly focusing on whatever comes next? Thanksgiving is next. The holiday for which your pumpkin spice latte is most appropriate.
