It has been almost a week since my last blog post (gasp) and I really have no reason other than lack of inspiration and general laziness. I’m sorry!
Anyway, this weekend, Jenny, Kate and I ventured to Brooklyn (and it really is a venture these days with my ever increasing claustrophobia on the subway) where we had brunch on a rooftop overlooking the waterfront. The sun was shining and there was cool breeze–it was pretty great. And let me just say–Saturday brunch is under-rated. There is no wait, the restaurants are not packed AND when you’re finished, you still have the whole weekend ahead of you.
After brunch, we walked to the Brooklyn Bridge and I got lost trying to find the subway and had to ask for directions. My little iPhone 4 is just on its last legs and trying to use the map function is TORTURE in a busy place.
I also hauled a box of furniture parts up the many flights of stairs to my apartment (after letting the box sit by my mailbox for two days in the vain hope that someone else would bring it upstairs). Sigh. Then I struggled to put together my new shelf–but the end result was worth it. After 2 1/2 years, my DVDs are finally out of the off-brand rubbermaid container they were moved in.
And finally, yesterday, I wore a skirt WITHOUT TIGHTS for the first time, exposing my pale, practically translucent legs to the world. Sorry World.
