Well, the sun shone brightly this weekend. I went up to the suburbs–not the real suburbs, just the block at 100th and Columbus that has a Whole Foods, Michaels, TJ Maxx and Homegoods all in one block. I made exciting purchases like a new shower matte and a basket. Yes, life in New York is full of excitement. But, I also went out to Queens to enjoy some punch and conversation with old friends from DePauw (some were visiting from out of town) and that was a lovely treat. On Sunday, I skipped church (gasp–although I did go on Wednesday) to meet another group of friends in Brooklyn for a yummy brunch and then some Cobble Hill shopping. I bought letterpress cards. Duh.
