Well, last night I watched the tail-end of Jimmy Kimmel and caught the Backstreet Boys performance. Now, let me preface this by saying that my memories of the Backstreet Boys consist mostly of pretending to know the words at summer camp and not being able to identify Nick Carter in middle school. That is to say, they weren’t really on my radar other than knowing I should have known all the words to their songs.

Anyway, I guess they have a new album because they were performing a new song that was mostly ACOUSTIC GUITAR STRUMMING and the same words over and over. And they look old. Like 40 year-old men singing passionately and making faces similar to the ones I imagine made them famous in the “I Want It That Way” music video. Oy. There was just something so jarring about an aging boy band.
