As I mentioned, I jetted off to Chicago for the holiday weekend to be a bridesmaid in my friend Marian’s wedding. I felt like such a tourist taking a picture in O’Hare Airport–but seriously, every time I see this, I want to run through the airport a la Home Alone.

Anyway, the weekend was jammed packed with lovely things–manicures, ladies lunches (where we had the most amazing carrot soup), rehearsals and rehearsal dinners.

We spent many hours in hair and makeup–I barely recognized myself in the mirror when it was complete–but the end product was so worth it. Everyone looked so lovely–and, of course, Marian looked beautiful!

The hours we spent touring around Chicago on the trolley will be well worth it–I know we’re all anxious to see the pictures!! And the wedding was so much fun–we danced for hours–and my calves are STILL SORE.

Of course, returning home is always sad–but I’m so glad I got to be a part of Marian and Joe’s big day! Congratulations!!
