This morning, I took a floor-length, navy blue bridesmaids dress to have about 8 inches taken off the bottom. I took it to the tailor less than two blocks away. I like this tailor. I took a similar, although knee-length, navy blue bridesmaids dress there last May. I can practically see the tailor from my apartment.

On my block and a half walk, I was accosted by, not one, but TWO pairs of people with clipboards asking if I had time to support their cause. I was carrying a floor-length, navy blue bridesmaids dress. Did I look like I had time? Oh it makes me crazy when the people with clipboards ask if I have time for their cause.

And on my block and a half walk back to my apartment, the same TWO pairs of people with clipboards asked if I had time for their cause. The answer was no.
