While at the Post Office this afternoon, I stood in a long, slow-moving line for over 30 minutes. As I neared the front, I noticed a woman who was not standing in line, but clearly waiting for a window to open. And sure enough, as the dinger went off, this woman moved forward and took the open window! The person in front of me in line did nothing, but I said loudly enough for people to hear “Ummm there’s a very long line…” No one did anything.

Then, while walking back to my apartment, I spotted this sign.
